Tchelet (“the organisation”, “we”) operates this site and provides services accompanying couples on the way to the chuppah. Using the site and submitting details through it constitute agreement to this privacy policy.
What information we collect
We collect information you knowingly provide through the forms on the site, including:
- Contact details: the names of the groom and bride, phone number and email address.
- Marriage registration details: wedding date, Rabbinate office, and — when the file is opened — identity numbers and dates of birth.
- Documents you upload: approvals, certificates and identity documents required for the process.
- A photo that you choose to upload (for example the couple photo for your personal area).
- Content you create: reviews and recommendations about rabbis, guides and mikvaot.
- Technical information: basic usage data and cookies (see below).
What we use the information for
- To manage your marriage registration and accompany your file with the Rabbinate and the service providers.
- To contact you, provide the service and answer enquiries.
- To match an officiating rabbi and a bride guide and to coordinate the process.
- To send marketing updates — only if you gave separate consent (you can unsubscribe at any time).
- To improve the service and the site and to comply with legal requirements.
Sharing information with third parties
We do not sell your information. We may share information only as far as required in order to provide the service — for example with the officiating rabbi and the guide accompanying you, with the Rabbinate office for the purpose of registering the marriage, and with service providers we rely on (such as payment processing and message delivery) — or where required by law.
Information security
We take measures to secure the information and to prevent unauthorised access to it. Personal documents and identity papers are stored with restricted, authenticated access only, and are never publicly visible. Sensitive identifying fields (such as identity numbers) are encrypted. No system is entirely immune, and we work continuously to maintain an appropriate level of security.

The site uses cookies that are essential to its operation (for example keeping you signed in, remembering the site language and your accessibility settings).
